O-Rings & Seals

O-Rings

AS568, metric, encapsulated and X-ring profiles in NBR, FKM, EPDM and PTFE systems.

Range overview

Specification and supply scope

O-rings are the standard sealing element for static and dynamic service. The range covers AS568 and metric sizes, encapsulated O-rings for aggressive media, and X-ring profiles for reduced friction and improved sealing in dynamic applications. Material selection is based on media, temperature, pressure and compression-set limits.

Encapsulated O-Rings

PTFE-jacketed O-rings for aggressive chemical and solvent service.

Encapsulated O-ring technical illustration

Typical applications

  • Chemical processing
  • Solvent handling
  • Pharmaceutical equipment
  • Aggressive media

Encapsulated O-rings combine a PTFE or FEP jacket with an elastomer core. The jacket provides chemical resistance while the core maintains sealing force, making them suitable for solvents, acids and aggressive media where standard elastomers would swell or degrade.

  • PTFE or FEP jacket
  • FKM or silicone core
  • Chemical and solvent resistance
  • Low friction surface

X-Ring / Quad Ring

Four-lobe profile with lower friction and improved dynamic sealing.

X-ring quad ring technical illustration

Typical applications

  • Reciprocating seals
  • Rotary equipment
  • Valve stems
  • Dynamic sealing

X-rings, also called quad rings, use a four-lobe cross-section instead of a round profile. The design reduces friction, resists rolling in dynamic service and provides two sealing surfaces, making it suitable for reciprocating and rotary applications.

  • Four-lobe sealing profile
  • Lower friction than round O-rings
  • Resists rolling in dynamic service
  • Two sealing surfaces
